B&D Environmental Consulting (B&D) has been successfully serving clients from the public, private and non-profit sectors in the DMV area (District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia) since 2019. 

We are a women-owned business certified as an MBE, SBE, and DBE by the Maryland Department of Transportation (certification number 20-053). Our diverse team of professionals enables us to build strategic partnerships and provide cost-effective, innovative solutions.

Bruna Attila, PMP, CFM, LEED AP

Principal – Environmental Scientist

Co-founder and principal at B&D, Bruna is an environmental scientist with vast experience in the public and private sectors in the fields of environmental compliance and floodplain management, grant research, writing and management, public outreach and engagement with a focus on environmental justice communities, legislation drafting and review, project management and process optimization. She holds a Master’s in Environmental Planning and Management from Johns Hopkins University, a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from Towson University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Technology from FAETEC, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Bruna is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) and is a LEED Accredited Professional in Neighborhood Development.

Denise L. Sarchiapone, Esq., MBA, CC-P

Principal – Attorney & Environmental Justice Consultant

Co-founder and principal at B&D, Denise is an attorney-at-law and Environmental Justice and Title VI of the Civil Rights consultant, with vast experience in environmental, legal, and international business fields, assisting clients in various projects involving environmental governance and education, environmental and climate justice, Title VI compliance, community outreach, and beyond. Denise holds a Master’s in Laws from the University of Baltimore School of Law, a Master’s degree in International Business and HR Development from Towson University, a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Paraiba State University (UEPB), Brazil, and a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Sustainability and Innovation from Harvard University. She is also a Certified Climate Change Professional from the Maryland Association of Climate Change Officers (ACCO), and ACCO member.
